EM! This week’s episode was packed with deep dives into how Web3 projects are engaging content creators, the challenges of monetization, and the tools that can help creators amplify their voices across decentralized networks. From Abstract’s successful activation of content creators to Berachain’s quieter approach, we explored how different platforms are leveraging creator engagement to scale their ecosystems. Let’s break it down.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
Abstract went all-in on content creators, actively onboarding and rewarding them for producing educational and promotional material around their launch. This resulted in a flood of creator-led content that dominated social feeds and brought awareness to the project organically. On the flip side, Berachain’s recent launch felt quieter—fewer content collaborations, less strategic amplification, and, as a result, lower visibility. The takeaway? Activating creators early and aligning incentives ensures sustained hype and education.
But it’s not just about throwing funds at creators; quality matters. The challenge many projects face is filtering through the noise to ensure rewards go to authentic, high-quality content rather than low-effort engagement farming. This is where structured creator programs, vetting processes, and performance-based incentives become crucial.
Farcaster continues to evolve as the go-to social layer for Web3-native creators. While Warpcast is the most used client, Buoy has emerged as an essential discovery tool, surfacing high-signal conversations that often get buried in algorithmic feeds. The ability to explore trending discussions, discover new voices, and connect with relevant content makes Buoy a must-have in the creator toolkit.
Beyond discovery, distribution is key. With the recent release of Warpcast Wallet and Coinbase Wallet’s integration of the Farcaster social graph, we’re seeing the infrastructure take shape for a seamless onchain creator economy. Imagine an ecosystem where creators can get paid in real time for engagement, seamlessly tip fellow builders, and even distribute tokenized rewards natively. The pieces are falling into place.
A major theme of this episode was the need for structured coordination among Web3 content creators. Right now, each of us is grinding away in silos, covering similar topics but without a united front. What if we aligned our efforts?
The idea: thematic content weeks. By collectively choosing a topic—whether it’s Warpcast Wallet, Solana’s growing influence on Farcaster, or the best practices for creator monetization—we can flood the airwaves across newsletters, podcasts, and videos, making it impossible for the broader crypto audience to ignore. This approach doesn’t just amplify individual reach; it builds a powerful network effect where narratives compound across multiple platforms.
A major development for the Farcaster ecosystem: Ted, one of the masterminds behind Farcaster Fridays and Farcon LA, has officially joined Merkle. If anyone understands how to activate and grow a community, it’s her. We’re hoping this means better incentives for creators, clearer content monetization paths, and a stronger push for Farcaster as the home for on-chain creators. With Woj also joining the team, we’re optimistic that the platform will evolve to better serve those of us building and contributing every day.
Just when we thought we were wrapping up, Phil dropped in to introduce Amps.fun, a new amplification tool designed to reward Farcaster engagement. Think of it as a Web3-native way to boost content—creators set up campaigns, offer rewards, and users get paid for recasts, likes, and interactions. It’s an alternative to platforms like Moxie, but directly integrated with the Farcaster ecosystem, making it a more native and frictionless experience.
For those looking to maximize visibility while also earning from engagement, Amps could be a game-changer. Expect to see experiments rolling out soon, and if you’re a creator, now’s the time to start exploring how this tool can enhance your distribution strategy.
This episode reinforced the idea that creator monetization and engagement aren’t just side topics—they are central to the growth of Web3 ecosystems. Whether it’s aligning efforts through thematic content weeks, leveraging Farcaster and Buoy for distribution, or tapping into new amplification tools like Amps.fun, there are more ways than ever for creators to own their distribution and monetize their work.
If you’re experimenting with these tools, let us know what’s working on Farcaster. The more we share insights, the faster we all grow. See you next week!
